When I was 18 I told my parents that I was not going to university, I was met with widened eyes filled with worry and fear.
See, in my community going on to get a university degree was the common rite of passage straight after high school. What I did want to do was something a bit more unconventional.
Why? I intuitively knew that exposing yourself to new experiences is the best teacher.
So I landed myself in a start-up, and unknowingly I was learning lessons in business that my degree wouldn’t have taught me.
